The Climate Action Spotlight: Youth Power in Motion Regional Dialogue will provide a platform for showcasing youth experiences, fostering partnerships, and sharing initiatives that drive impactful change.

As part of the 80th Commission Session, the second day of YECAP Regional Dialogue and side event on Youth-Led Digital Innovations for Sustainable Development and Climate Action in Asia and the Pacific will showcase innovations, explore government support mechanisms, and discuss strategies to bridge the digital divide.

The science is clear, countries have a short time window to take the urgent actions necessary to limit the average global temperature rise to a safer 1.5 °C.

Global warming is causing long-lasting changes to our climate system and threatening lives and livelihoods around the world.

We have a once-in-a generation opportunity – through the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) – to ensure a more sustainable, equitable and prosperous future for all.

We are witnessing an increased interest, engagement, and activism by youth on the climate agenda. Young people have demanded governments and other relevant stakeholders to take collective actions on climate change through climate strikes, etc. With this context in mind, it is important to engage the voices of young people and identify actionable initiatives to lay the foundation for their ambitious climate action.

Youth in all their diverse identities and experiences advance their climate journeys with the support from YECAP to meaningfully engage in action, advocacy, and acceleration of the movement towards a just climate future
