We are writing to share some exciting news!
The Afghan women’s basketball group will be honored at the 25th Anniversary Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony as the third-ever winner of the “For the Love of the Game” award.
The ceremony will take place on Saturday, April 27 from 5:45pm – 8:00pm at the Tennessee Theatre in Knoxville.
Tickets to attend the event and support the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame mission to honor the past, celebrate the present and promote the future can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.
If you are unable to join us in person, we invite you to tune in to the ESPN livestream.
WATE Knoxville (local ABC channel) will air the ceremony on a later date – we will keep you posted.
Such national recognition does not come without the countless volunteers and financial support many of you have provided since this journey began more than two years ago. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU!!!!
