I love helping, and volunteering is my passion. Apart from my full time, work commitment at ENGAGE, I am taking out 2 hrs of time once in a week to coach Kul. Kul is one of the young wheelchair basketball players at Jawalakhel Team: a shy 16 year old boy, who is studying in class 5. I like spending time with him. We talk most of the time about his personal stuffs, study and so on.

In this article I discuss how the recent discourse on the BBC documentary on the gang rape in New Delhi in 2012 affects the adage “break the silence” on violence against women and girls. I plead that the discourse encourage us all to break the silence and not hold our peace because the noise we generate could be imperfect.
