DW honors Nigerian reporter Tobore Ovuorie for defending the voiceless | Africa | DW | 13.06.2021

 Tobore Ovuorie focused her reporting on women' sex trafficking. 

"Nigerian investigative journalist Tobore Ovuorie receives DW Freedom of Speech Award 2021. As an undercover sex worker, Nigerian journalist Tobore Ovuorie experienced corruption, violence and murder. In the process, she uncovered a human trafficking ring that spanned continents."

The  Freedom of Speech Award ceremony is one of the highlights of DW’s Global Media Forum in Bonn, Germany.
