Shaping a Future of Rights: Freedom of expression as a driver for all other human rights. 2023 year marks the 30th anniversary of World Press Freedom Day. Three decades have passed since it was proclaimed in 1993, in which we have seen substantial progress towards achieving a free press and freedom of expression around the world.

Financing mining for transition minerals in South Africa: Are banks doing enough on human rights?

This report looks at the human rights commitments and actions of 15 banks (5 local, 10 international) linked to the financing of transition minerals extraction in South Africa. The research revealed these banks are failing to take adequate measures to avoid contributing to abuses in this particularly risky sector.

'Fit for 55': European Council adopts key pieces of legislation delivering on 2030 climate targets
