As Europe enters a third COVID-19 wave, our research finds that Facebook is failing to protect Europeans from dangerous misinformation. Facebook promised to do more to protect its users, but a year after the start of the pandemic, our findings suggest it has not improved its ability to detect dangerous misinformation, emphasising the need for urgent EU regulations.
