The Kaski District Women and Children Development Office provide disability ID cards to the people with disabilities through which they receive Rs 2,000 as disability allowance each monthly. It is disbursed once in every four months through local representatives in the village.

Virali Modi who was paralyzed after suffering from malaria turned to be a disability rights activist, raising awareness program about rights for disabled persons and stem cell therapy.Thanks to her efforts and campaign, six railway stations in Kerala have become disabled friendly.

The UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) reaffirmed its commitment to IATI in a comprehensive new Transparency Agenda published earlier this week. DFID was a founding member of the initiative and was the first organisation to publish their aid information to IATI back in 2011.
